Save for your next at home salon day! How to use a round brush heat tool on black hair for that 80’s and 90’s big hair look.

Start off on cleansed and conditioned hair

Use a styling leave in conditioner and/or a heat protectant leave in - I’m using Dae and biosilk

Focus on smoothing the roots of your hair and work way down the length of your hair. Once your hair is about 90% straight,start working the section into the curl

Curling map 🗺️

Bottom row you want the cut to be facing up

Middle sections focus on curling under.

Top section curl away from your face but under.

This blowout was actually fairly quick so I’ll be adding this to my styling rotation. I’m already thinking of other product cocktails and techniques Im going to try to get different looks!

GIRL! I’m speaking from experience when I tell you…

the reason you can’t get that fluffy blow out look is because you’re putting too much heat on your hair and you’re using too much product 😩

If you blow dry and then curl your hair with a flat iron or curling iron and then roll it or pin curl, I’m sorry to report but it just won’t have the exact same volume or texture sis..

The key to the look is NOT silky straight roots! We
want brushed out, fluffy texture, not sleek and shiny.

I used my Dyson air wrap with the round brush attachment along with specific products!

1. gotta start on clean scalp and hair! I’ll have to do a separate video on these products because it’s honestly the most important step!
2. I used olaplex 0 and 3 before washing for strength and did a scalp massage with this oil I found on tiktok before I shampooed and conditioned.
3. Use a pea sized amount of @daehair prickly pear cactus leave in and a dab of @biosilkhaircare in 4 sections but blow out in manageable sections. Mist section if it gets dry before you blow dry
4. Blow dry/roll bottom row upward, mucks row under and middle section away from your face.

5. Unfortunately, I slept in my Velcro rollers but were here!!

Curling Hair 101

Step 1️⃣: Start with clean, dry hair. Apply a heat protectant spray to safeguard your hair from heat damage.

Step 2️⃣: Divide your hair into manageable sections and secure them with hair clips or bands.

Step 3️⃣: Take a small section of hair, about an inch wide, and comb through it to remove any tangles.

Step 4️⃣: Set your curling iron to a medium heat level. If your hair is fine or damaged, opt for a lower heat setting. Remember, heat protection is key!

Step 5️⃣: Hold the curling iron vertically, with the clasp facing forward. Start at the root of the hair section and wrap the hair around the barrel, away from your face. Be cautious not to touch the hot barrel to avoid burns.

Step 6️⃣: Hold the hair around the curling iron for about 8-10 seconds, depending on the thickness of your hair and the desired curl intensity. Gently release the curl by unwrapping the hair from the barrel.

Step 7️⃣: Repeat steps 5 and 6 for the remaining sections of your hair. Curl in different directions for a more natural look.

Step 8️⃣: Once all sections are curled and cooled, use your fingers to gently tousle your hair and create a more relaxed style.

Step 9️⃣: To set the curls and add extra hold, apply a light hairspray or a curl-defining product sparingly.

Step 🔟: Rock those gorgeous curls with confidence!

Remember, practice makes perfect! It might take a few tries to get the technique down, but with time and patience, you’ll be able to achieve stunning curls. Embrace your beautiful hair and experiment with different curl sizes and styles.

Rendezvous is this refreshing yet warm fragrance. It’s kinda of an oxymoron and i love fragrances like that. It has some berries and vanilla, musk and cedar to round it out. This will be my gym scent when i go back to the gym…whenever that might be 😉

Rose has quickly gone from being one of my least liked, white floral notes to one of my favorites—and this rose is a deep sweet one. I love the texture of this. It really absorbs into the skin quickly and leaves a pretty scent.

The piece de resistance was and is Girls Best Friend. This perfume smells like it cost five times as much as it actually does. This is such an opulent, rich, and alluring fragrance that is somehow comforting. If you love sweet, resinous vanillas then you should definitely get your nose on this before the cold weather is over.

What a nifty and AFFORDABLE #bondrepair treatment! #gifted by @glaze_hair and @communityxseen! I’m all about taking care of my chemically damaged hair by constantly rebuilding those bonds. My hair is Tex laxed but this product can be used for anyone that manipulates their hair more frequently in one season (#heatrained naturals and #silkpress girlies I’m talking to you). The shine and strength this gave me was very impressive! I use #k18 occasionally and I didn’t feel like my hair missed a step! I also love that this is a rinse out treatment so I can put whatever styling products in my hair and won’t have to worry about it clashing.
